At about 8:45 p.m. local time on June 18, 2024, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on a chartered flight to begin his official visit to Malaysia.State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council Wu Zhenglong and other accompanying persons arrived on the same flight.
on the morning of the 19th，Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar welcomed Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Prime Minister’s Department Plaza.Upon Premier Li Qiang’s arrival, the national anthems of Malaysia and China were played, and Li Qiang, accompanied by Anwar, reviewed the honor guard comprising soldiers from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment.

After the talks, under the joint witness of the two leaders, the two countries signed 14 cooperation agreements and memorandums, including the long-awaited Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Malaysian Fresh Durian Exports to China, which also means that Malaysian fresh durian can be exported to China.The signing ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya at around 11 a.m. today, with a number of Malaysian Cabinet Ministers and Chinese Ministers signing on behalf of both countries.
